Hey, I’m Alex!
I began this blog way back in 2009 or 2010, I can’t quite remember. It started as a place for me to display my photography, designs and DIY projects. Within the last few years it’s grown from a spark to a flame, and one day, I hope it becomes a full on inferno of inspirational awesomeness.
My absolute favourite topics to write about are genealogy and history. I love being a hub of information to inspire and help others find out more about where they came from and how to access various documents and information.
I used to feel a bit awkward when people asked me what my blog is about; because it’s a little bit of everything. At the end of the day, it’s an inspiring space, a creative outlet to motivate and encourage you to design something, research a family member or go out and tackle that project you’ve been avoiding.
Stuff I Love:
Highland Dancing | cats |reading WWII novels |scanning family photos | changing my hair colour | snapping pics | records | my friends & family | camp | designing | wine | Eaton’s memorabilia | Hudson’s Bay stripes | instagram | Elvis | Polish Beer | expensive sheets | my freaking gorgeous kilt | fresh flowers | Christmas |
ALSO: I’m more than likely correcting/arguing with people on the proper way to say and spell “pierogi”.
