Throw Back Craft Thursday!
After the wedding, I finally had some time to decompress and make something fun, non-wedding associated.
Being the Pinterest fiend that I am, I jumped at the chance to make a Jewelry Frame.
The Materials were easy to come by, I had purchased the frame earlier in the year (Value Village) for the wedding, and we had only used it as a prop for photos. I debating re-spray painting the frame, but this gold was pretty fab, and hard to give up.
This was a fairly simple project. I found some cup hooks from Canadian Tire, measured out a one inch space on the back of the frame, and screwed them in. To be honest, screwing the hooks into the frame really freaking hurt! I ended up using pliers to help me.
I actually wasn’t anticipating having so much open space at the bottom of my frame (duh, necklaces aren’t super long). I had some gold wire, which I just went to town with wrapping the whole bottom section – randomly, nothing thought out or balanced.
I’m really happy with how it turned out! What do you think!? The gold and grey contrast so nicely, it just pops from the wall.
