DIY Garlands using extra wedding invitations

I had some leftover invitations and rsvp cards… and I couldn’t possibly throw them out…

I happened to also have a  2″ circle punch hanging around…

Hmm…

It took me about 3 hours (and one sore hand later) to cut as many circles as possible....

All circles were put into a bowl, my mum and I sat across from each other sewing them together

We used a simple straight stitch, with black thread.

To avoid tangling, one end of the string was taped into the box, and the garland was gently lowered into it.
